What ever your reason I can say that this year I’ve done 90% of my Christmas shopping in one store, Best Buy. Here are last minute Christmas gifts you can get in stores RIGHT NOW.

Be Together. Not the Same. Part 2
About 4 months ago I posted an article as to why I am going to purchase the iPhone. After a lot of thinking I have decided that I am sticking it out with Android and here's why.
3 Reasons Why I Am Staying With Android
1. Customization Not everyone needs it or cares about it but I do. Whether I am changing something everyday or once a year I know I have the ability to change it. My lifestyle is based around always doing the same thing differently. It's not always necessary but it keeps my phone new and exciting so I don't grow bored of it (which can happen VERY quickly for me).
2. Hardware Options I have a tendency to stick with certain manufacturers but sometimes I venture out into something different. I enjoy the various options I have among different companies that can provide various qualities, designs, and price. Competition is healthy ;) .
3. Community If I left Android this is something I would miss the most. I enjoy the Android community in general but there is no other community like my Google+ community. Topics about Android can range from apps, news, new devices, reviews, and app development. All of these people get together and discuss their liking and dislike for Android features.
The iPhone is a great device but I just don't think it's for me. This guy says it best....except he's defending iPhone.

Cord Over Wireless Charging
Tuesday night you could find me in a Verizon Wireless store playing with a wireless charger while deciding if I NEED one or not. My first thought was will I sit my phone down long enough to let it charge?

Be Together. Not the Same. Part 1
I have been a dedicated Android user since 2009. I have always enjoyed the capabilities it possessed such as the open environment. My Android screams hack me, manipulate me, do cool stuff with me' and I say yeah, Yeah, YEAH! I got into the hype at times and in others I had to stop and think wait, isn't that what they sold us last year but in a different she'll with new fancy hardware numbers? Sometimes I feel like I keep getting led on to promises that just don't happen and honestly I'm getting tired of it.
Let's talk about how I've come to this conclusion.
My boyfriend made some very convincing statements about why I should leave Android and come to iOS. Some of the reasons he said why I should leave were that I'm always complaining about my phone and some of its technical glitches, the lack of actually receiving phone calls when someone calls my phone, battery life, etc. I have thought about these things but I have not recently considered leaving the OS because of it. In the end he said something I think we should all remind ourselves, "a phone should phone". When I think about all of the things my phone can do I always have to give exceptions because certain things don't work as well in certain situations. I really enjoy Android and the new discoveries and innovation especially from our app developers. Also this isn't the 1st phone I have had these problems on.
Since iOS 8 and the iPhone 6 I have been applauding Apple from a distance. I say they stole this and we stole that but in the end we all need something that works well for us. People surrounding me have become more and more important which requires me to be available to them when they need to get in contact with me. I will continue to review and compare iOS to Android but here are a few things I have applauded Apple for recently that has grown my interest in the iPhone:
Bigger screen
Ability to drop the screen down to be able to reach the top corners with one hand (blew my mind)
The ability to share with other apps (I Need to be able to share with Pocket like on Android)
Beautifully crafted iPhone 6
Stability
Battery life
Good performance (even though the specs are MUCH lower than Android so I guess their chipset is da bomb
The ability to now select more than one email at a time
Camera
I have not completely given up on Android but hopefully if I decide to make this departure it will be to leave Android as it is so that when I return it will have grown and matured.
Details developing ;)

In anticipation of the soon to be world wide smart watch hype, I decided to get a Pebble Watch just to get an idea what it was like to have my phone notify me of things on my wrist. Instead I learned much more than that! No the Pebble watch is not anything like the new Android Wear watches or the anticipated Apple Watch coming out next year but these tips should easily apply to any other smart watch.
As I mentioned above, my case of notification anxiety had a residual effect on my ability to remember tasks and stay on track with even the simplest things. Many times turning on my phone lead to me viewing gossip blogs and social networks when my intention was simply to send an email or check my calendar. Our phones have become more of a distraction rather than tools to help us in our daily lives.
Do you have a smart watch? What other tips do you think should be on this list?

Here are 3 things I never thought a smart watch could do
1. Save You Battery Life on Your Phone
While using Pebble Watch I found that I saved a lot more battery life on my Galaxy S4 than a normal. After noticing this I concluded the reason was that I turned on my screen much less than I used to. Before I owned a Pebble watch I would have a habit of turning my screen on just to see if I had any new notifications. I guess you can say I have a case of notification anxiety! hehehe
2. Keep You Focused
3. Keep You Informed
The Pebble Watch has the ability to alert you of various notifications that come to your phone such as phone calls, emails, text messages, etc. The watch gives a quick glance at telling you what's going on around you briefly so you know to follow up on it now or later. For me it comes in handy when I'm at work and I receive an email from a user in distress that needs help urgently. I can quickly get an idea of if I need to attend to this issue right now or if it's priority can be rerouted depending on what's on my schedule.
Do you have a smart watch? What other tips do you think should be on this list?
